Crawford was in all black, draped by a fishing net on his shoulders and shorts that training partner Steven "So Cold" Nelson designed for him. He came into the arena hours prior with his coaches and team wearing grayish shirts that read "Even Big Fish Get Caught." It was Crawford’s 18th consecutive world title fight. His 40th in his pro career at 35 years old. He stood there, before the bell, as an overachiever; someone who believed those there to watch him brawl — both in the boxing media and audience — came to see him be pummeled. A fighter constantly belittled for being undersized, having a poor resume compared to some of his peers, or generally being the lighter, smaller act.

Rinya Nakamura: Rinya Nakamura was the biggest betting favorite on the UFC 298 fight card at -1350. He entered his bantamweight fight against Carlos Vera with a perfect 8-0 record with five knockouts, one submission, and three decisions.

Gordon completely dominated Santos in a unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) victory, one of the most one-sided of Gordon's career. Gordon's cardio held the whole way and he was able to pepper Santos with combinations in every round, including clear and consistent attention paid to body shots.

Round 6: Feints galore coming from Madrimov right now. Madrimov leads with his jab and walks Crawford to the ropes. Crawford answers with a flurry. He sneaks a left hand past Madrimov’s guard. Right hand from Madrimov, Crawford throws out a combination. There appears to be a mouse developing under Crawford’s right eye. Madrimov whiffs on a big overhand. After a slow first round for both fighters, Crawford completely took over the fight. The first knockdown came off a counter jab followed by a left straight in the second round. To his credit, Spence beat the count and continued to try to make something happen, but Crawford was too fast, too technical and too powerful all night long.

The three-division titlist wins an unprecedented second undisputed crown, this time at welterweight, with a masterful stoppage win over the gutty Errol Spence Jr. Saturday night on SHOWTIME Pay-Per-View.

10:03 p.m. ET: Up next is Isaac Cruz (24-2-1, 17 KOs) vs. Giovanni Cabrera (21-0, 7 KOs) in a WBA lightweight title eliminator. Waka Flocka Flame just walked out Cabrera while Cruz has entered with a Mariachi band. Cruz when is crawford's next fight targeting a rematch with Gervonta Davis but will need to turn back Freddie Roach's upstart in Cabrera.

The veteran was the quicker, sharper, more active fighter from the very beginning, swarming Ducote with a diverse mix of offensive attacks, everything connected by a clean jab and constant forward pressure. Hill flexed her Muay Thai skills at times, burying heavy knees into Ducote’s midsection and hitting elbows on the break, staying on top of the UFC sophomore every second of every round.

But what was expected to be a highly competitive, 50-50 matchup, turned into one of the finest performances fans had witnessed in recent years. Crawford emphatically stamped his place in the history books with a ninth-round TKO over Spence to become the first undisputed welterweight champion of the four-belt era.

Porter did all the damage in this round. He was really aggressive and had moments of landing hard combinations, especially early on in the clinch. Crawford looked content to just let Porter wail on him. He did come on strong later in the round.

Now Porter mauls Crawford on the inside during a clinch. Right to the body lands for Porter. Porter comes forward with a series of shots as Crawford covers up at center ring, smiling. Crawford literally pushes Porter back without a warning from the referee. Porter getting into more rough and tumble action with Crawford here which is what we’ve used to seeing from him. Crawford attacks but mostly misses. I think Porter got the better in that round.600
