The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the latest in Ecovacs line of robot vacuum mop hybrids. This model that is wet-dry is fitted with the company's upgraded AIVI 3D 2.0 lidar system, which offers improved mapping and obstacle avoidance. The system is equipped with dual laser LiDAR, which is similar to that used in self-driving vehicles. It can scan up to 32 feet across by the 270-degree angle. This translates to more accurate mapping and faster response times and higher cleaning accuracy.

It also has a rotating mopping pad made of chenille, which makes it easier to scrub tough areas more effectively than traditional mops. During my tests the X2 Omni washed its pad in just over a second and was ready to go. I noticed that it was more accurate than other models that seemed to follow a grid around rooms. It was able to navigate my rooms' corners and edges, as well as create a "Zambani pattern" that ran up and down the middle of the room. It also returned to its OMNI station on a regular basis to empty the dustbin and clean the mop using hot water prior to starting another task of cleaning.

The Deebot T10 is a fantastic robot vacuum that produces impressive results. It was able to remove more than 96% of the debris we tossed at it our hardwood flooring which is an impressive performance. It also did a fantastic job on tile and carpet cleaning up more than 99percent of dirt and dust.

This robotic mop and vacuum has large docking stations that provides cool water cleaning for the mop pads, and auto-emptying into a 3L disposable bag that's simple to replace, and hot air drying for quick and easy maintenance. It's a mid-range robot cleaner that's appealing even if the claim of being a one-stop-shop for floor cleaning does not make sense.

The X8 Hybrid looks like a traditional robotic vacuum cleaner from the top with its circular design with sweeping wheels and an elevated space for sensors. On the other side there's a motorized floorbrush as well as a single side brush that pushes dust away from the edges and into the main path of its'mouth.' It's a little smaller than the main brushes of the iRobot Roomba S9 which I found made it easier to reach under couches and chairs.

Its mapping system is fairly sophisticated and allows you to set no-mop zones as well as specific cleaning zones. The robot performed well in our tests on hardwood floors and food particles. It ate everything, from one rice grain to several dog food pieces, with only one swipe. It had a bit of difficulties transitioning to rugs but in general this vacuum cleaner is perfect for rooms that have both types of flooring and a mix of pets.

It's not cheap however, if you are able to manage the price, it's a great purchase for those who want to be able to leave their homes completely free to perform other tasks or to take care of chores. The A4s Pro also offers a convenient auto cleaning mode that automatically increases suction power to deal with tough dirt and spills, and it is equipped with batteries that power the ElectroWall that allows you to define boundaries where the robot isn't allowed to enter.

This budget-friendly robot from a renowned new brand is the most affordable we've tested and provides exceptional value for money. Its basic navigation system uses an extremely basic random pathing algorithm and lacks room mapping capabilities, making it less efficient than the other models on this list. However, it's still able to reach under furniture and in corners and its mopping mode was very effective during our tests and was able to pick up pet hair and other debris easily.

5. Shark iQ

Shark's iQ may not appear as well-built however it is superior in cleaning pet hair off all surfaces. It is more effective of cleaning low-pile carpet and bare floors. It also utilizes the smart-pathing software for better mobility. It can be positioned to a specific area, and comes with a range of advanced automation options, including no-go zones and schedules. It also allows you to suspend and resume cleaning making it ideal for homes with pets.

Its self-cleaning brushroll prevents knots from pet hair and other debris and its bagless self-emptying docking station can hold up to 30 days worth of dirt before needing to be cleaned. It also comes with an assortment of angled side brushes that go deep into corners, and its multi-stage filtration system captures dust, dander and allergens to ensure a healthier air.

The iQ robot vacuum mop pet hair (check this site out) is well-built and feels solid. It is compatible with an app for smartphones which lets you alter the vacuum's settings and schedule cleaning times ahead of time. The app allows you to view the remaining battery life of the iQ and receive notifications via push for any issues it encounters during its cleaning session. You can use your voice to control it with an Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant device, and if you don't have either of those, you can mark off areas with physical boundary strips.

The iQ is great for cleaning floors that aren't clean and is able to do an adequate job with carpets with low pile and shaggy edges. However it doesn't provide the same level autonomy as our top picks. It's also expensive and its monthly costs can increase.
